The FAAB core team resolved to improve the voting of apartments in the Jayanagar election held on 11th June 2018. It was also the fond memory of Sri. B N Vijaykumar that motivated us to make this special effort.
On 9th and 10th June 2018, FAAB core team visited close to 45 apartment complexes in the Jayanagar area and created awareness for voting. 3 groups split up and covered as much of Jayanagar constituency as possible. We are sure that this initiative would have improved the overall votes caste from apartment dwellers.
The big victory to FAAB’s continuous effort on challenge of retrospective STP order by BWSSB.
The above amendment has been made on 21st Feb 2018 to exempt apartments constructed before 19 Jan 2016 and have an underground sewerage connected to BWSSB line.
It is hearting to say that the “I Pledge to Vote” campaign for the Karnataka election 2018 has been a big success where many of the FAAB members participated and created awareness and commitment from their respective residents.
Another big effort from the FAAB core team to accomplish this and the members who supported this initiative.
We request all apartment residents to come out in big numbers and vote – let us target 100% voting for this election on 12th May 2018.
The sudden demise of Sri. B N Vijaykumar, MLA, Jayanagar has been a shock to many of us. This honest, sincere, hardworking and simple politician is irreplaceable – Jayanagar, Karnataka and FAAB mourn this big loss.
Sri. B N Vijaykumar’s unselfish 24 x 7 work ethic towards serving people is regarded highly. People do not need to go to him with a problem, often, as is our experience in FAAB, he approaches people to solve their problem. When the FAAB group had a problem, he proactively approached us to solve our problem. Since then, he has been guiding FAAB over the last 1.5 years.
As a resident of Jayanagar and member of FAAB, I had the opportunity to interact with him many a times and this simply changed my view of politicians to a more positive frame. I hope his approach to politics inspires many youngsters to create a meaningful career out of being a politician.
May his soul rest in peace !
FAAB Thanks all its members for a huge participation in the Rally – nearly 1000 people attended the Rally to showcase the Unity of apartments in Bengaluru.
FAAB extends heartfelt Thanks to Mr. B N Vijaykumar, MLA, Jayanagar and Dr. Ashwatha Narayanan, MLA, Malleswaram for addressing the gathering and coming forward to lend their support to Apartment dwellers.
Initially, FAAB organised the rally to protest against “retrospective STP” enforcement by BWSSB. However, days before the protest, BWSSB changed it stand to something more logical (i.e.) to enforce STP prospectively. However, FAAB and its members apartments continued the Rally as a show of unity. Pictures from Rally …
FAAB core team …
FAAB has been fighting the retrospective STP in various forums, Courts, Media and through Protests. After FAAB’s press meet at Vidhana Soudha (13th Dec), Government of Karnataka and BWSSB together issued a joint statement of putting a hold onto the retrospective implementation of STP on 14th Dec.
- Retrospective STP will not be applicable for apartments connected to BWSSB Underground Sewage system.
- STP will be applicable for apartments built after 2016 and violate Environment impact assessment notification.
